This sheet of genuine World War II Nazi bearer bonds has an historical and collector's value only - it appears the German government stopped payment on all their bonds in 1945!
This is an interesting and historical 8-1/4 x 14-1/2 inch sheet of genuine Nazi debt bonds or bearer bonds issued on 31 October 1942 by the Reichsschuldenverwaltung or Nazi State Debt Administration in Berlin. The sixteen 3-1/2% bearer bond coupons have the serial number 72858 with redemption dates between 16 November 1945 and 16 May 1953.
Each 1-1/2 x 4 inch numbered coupon has a 5/8 inch diameter embossed Nazi eagle and swastika in the white center, as well as a redemption date, redemption amount and expiration date. The owner (bond holder) of these World War II Zinsscheine redeemed the first two years of 6 month debt interest coupons (1943 and 1944). The May and November coupons for the years 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951 and 1952 remain.
